FAQ’s

  • RESOUND is a Youth event in Dorset. We host a few regular events throughout the year in different venues. We love creating a space where young people aged 11-18 can hang out, bring friends along and meet new people from local churches. We make sure there’s time to enjoy activities like bungee runs, sumo wrestling, bouncy castles, football, fire pits, food, video games, and silent discos! Then, we gather together for worship, games, teaching, prayer, and connection with other Christians and local youth leaders.

  • The RESOUND team has a heart to create a safe and familiar environment where young people can come to have fun, meet other Christians, build a new community and hear encouragement from God’s word! We love creating a space for churches of all denominations and sizes to gather in unity, and seeing young people and their leaders connect with God in different ways.

  • Each time we host a RESOUND event, it evolves, grows, and gets better! We love having a chance to be creative, have fun, and make space for young people to meet with God. It’s a joy to host new speakers, welcome new churches and hear stories of young people encountering Jesus in new ways or for the first time!

  • The health and safety and safeguarding of our young people is paramount to us at RESOUND. We create and adhere to risk assessments for each site we meet on - these are available for you to look at if you wish. Most of our RESOUND events will take place on one site where we remain for the entire duration. Some events will happen across two sites - where this is the case, relevant risk assessments and stewards will be provided to keep young people safe.

Young people are asked to sign up to the event via ChurchSuite and are checked in when they arrive. They will then receive an allocated wrist band to let us know they’re checked in. All team members and youth leaders must also sign up and check in, but can be identified easily as they will wear a different coloured wrist band and lanyard. Stewards will wear hi-vis jackets for the duration of the event, and First Aid trained adults are known to the team. Any adult without a wristband or lanyard will not be allowed on to the site. The RESOUND Team will endeavour to do their best to keep young people safe and make sure they are collected properly, but they do reserve the right to leave without an adult. Please talk to your young people about keeping themselves safe and ensure they know how to safely leave the event if they are not being collected by an adult. Please make sure their contact information is filled out correctly in case intervention from the Team is required.
